Cycling through History, Flavors and Nature in the Lower Susa Valley
Discover the Lower Susa Valley and its surroundings by bike: an authentic land, far from the most famous tourist routes, where the plains meet the Alps and history intertwines with landscapes.
Among morainic hills, medieval villages and hidden vineyards, this cycling journey combines the pleasure of slow discovery with the taste of Piedmontese cuisine, without forgetting the charm of the great climbs that have shaped the history of cycling.
Here every pedal stroke is a genuine encounter with the land. Authentic flavors – from natural wines to high-altitude olive oil, all the way to zero-km Piedmontese cuisine – tell stories of passion and sustainability. Cultural stops, from the Sacra di San Michele to Roman and Medieval Susa, reveal the depth of a valley that has always been a crossroads of peoples and memories.
Alongside culture and taste, there’s also space for sport: cycle routes alternating gentle flat roads with legendary Giro d’Italia climbs such as Colle del Lys and Colle Braida, offering challenges and unforgettable views.
The journey is completed by the warm and responsible hospitality of Ostello Casa Conte Rosso, a place that is not just a logistical base but an essential part of the experience, in the medieval village of Avigliana, among little shops and corners that take you back in time.
There will be time for conversation over a good dish and a glass of wine at the Ristorante Ciclocucina, part of the Casa Conte Rosso project, where cyclists are always welcome!
Pedal as much as you can and explore as much as you want
